FALSTONE BARNS ACCESS STATEMENT

Falstone Barns is a Grade III holiday home development from traditional stone farm buildings.  The construction was sympathetic to the heritage of the buildings and complies with its Listing recommendations and inevitably its building restrictions.  Building Regulations are complied with in all respects insofar as inclusive access and facilities.

Car Parking

Falstone Barns has a spacious shared car park which has not been segregated into parking bays and you will find you have plenty of space to park your vehicle close to your barn suite and to enable plenty of space around your vehicle for passenger and equipment access and egress.

Inclusive Access

The barns provide a variety of ground and upper-level accommodation, and we would be happy to explain any further detail and below are descriptions of access to each barn to aid your choice:

The Opulent provides Accessibility Level 1 and has three entry options: the front door provides easy access from the car park into the lounge, a kitchen door provides access to the courtyard and small patio area and the third access point leads from the courtyard directly into the master bedroom.  The shower room of the Opulent is large and the shower is accessible with a fold up seat.

Guests with mobility issues may wish to avoid The Classic as this has a flight to stairs to this upper floor accommodation.

Guests with mobility issues may wisht to avoid The Romantic as this barn has a chunky wooden staircase.

Infants & Small Children

If you are bringing small children, you may prefer The French barn suite as all the facilities are located on the ground floor and you can keep a watchful eye on children playing in the courtyard. 

The Classic can accommodate small children provided you are happy to negotiate the external flight of steps to the first floor. 

The Opulent can accommodate small children provided you are happy that the barn has several stairs to the second bedroom and several stairs down to the bathroom.

The Romantic may accommodate an infant with a travel cot provided you are willing to negotiate the staircase.

Height Restriction

Given the nature of this old building, The Romantic has low beams on the bedroom mezzanine floor and care should be taken when walking around the bed area.
